Children tease each other regularly (at school and on the street) which can have a far-reaching impact on their future. Learning how to stand up for yourself and daring to do so are important for this. The value of (disciplined) "rough housing" and "physical contact" with other children must not be underestimated. Thereby we learn how to accept our possible defeats and to learn from others something which is inevitable in the trainings.
From the point of view of self defense it certainly provides a safer feeling, which can give the young practitioner, as well as parents, a degree of confidence. Think of the moment when your son or daughter or for the has reached the age to go really independently out of the house, something which has become more dangerous. In threatening situations where children must stand on their own two feet, the experiences gained in the trainings can be of vital importance. By training concentration, physical condition, technique, speed, coordination, attacks and defenses, self-confidence is increased. And especially one must not forget: it is important that the children train with great enjoyment.
Trial Lessons
After a few trial lessons, a child can be registered as a member of the school. Ask for further information and a registration form from the trainer.
Attire
Preferably the t-shirt with the logo, which is available for purchase at the school, with dark training trousers or short trousers and rubber-soled shoes.
Certificate
At the end of the season (June/July) in a special lesson, the youth certificates are distributed. Parents are welcome to join. A short demonstration is given by some adult practitioners. A group photograph is taken and distributed after the summer holiday. No extra costs are incurred for the certificate and the group photograph.
ASPIRING STUDENTS (6 - 8 YEARS)
The formation of the trainings for this youth group is completely tailored to the age of the young practitioner. A child’s energy is often inexhaustible and we accept the challenge of giving this energy the right focus and direction. Some trial lessons can be used to see if the new student enjoys the training and are in the correct group. Children who do not listen well or disrupt the lessons for the others will not be accepted. Towards the end of the lesson, a bit of play is introduced so that the children have a last chance to "let it all out".

JUNIORS (9-13 YEARS)
The trainings of this youth group are heavier than those of the aspiring practitioners, both technically and on conditional level. Techniques learned by this group also go a step further in effectiveness and teaches the ability to handle aggression. In these lessons topics such as usage, independence and responsibility are also discussed. Around the age of 13 years, one can progress on to trainings of two hours with older students. This transition can be made gradually by periodic lessons initially with older students under careful watch of the trainer and assistants.
